Taking breaks is extremely important: It improves your mood, mental and physical health. When paired with studying and break intervals, taking breaks can increase productivity and prevent fatigue!
However, you know your limits; you know when breaks get out of hand. This post is to remind you about not overworking yourself to fatigue. But it's also here to remind you that being productive is good for your life as well; you need to find your perfect balance of productivity and breaks.
Some ways to find your balance are:
1) Start with a few tasks once you get home, then move your way up (this will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed if you have a lot of work to do).
2) If to-do lists work for you, then write one! This can help set daily or weekly reminders.
3) Try recording what you do in a day for a week. Once you do this, you can create a schedule that gives you time to achieve everything you want/need to. Next, you can make personalized times in your schedule so you know when you can take a break.
4) Set goals and timings for sleeping and waking up (see the earlier post about why sleep is crucial). Once you follow through with a sleep schedule, you'll be able to prioritize your life more, take breaks, be more productive and thus, find the balance perfect for you.
At the end of the day, it's important to remember that taking breaks is important, but so is being productive and being your best self!
