The CYMH (Canadian Youth Mental Health) is working with the CAMH to help young people access mental health service providers. The platform will also utilize data collection to help support policies about the need for youth mental health services. The platform will be supported by the Canadian Brain Research Fund, who provided a 5 million dollar grant. This service will also feature the perspectives of youth voices and those of psychological professionals. According to clinician Dr. Jo Henderson “We foresee serving also policymakers with a nationwide atlas of youth mental health, understanding where is the greatest need for services … and how do we ensure that resources can be allocated to really fill the gaps.”

It is important to understand the need for youth mental health resources, and this project might be one of the steps forward in making this progress.
