Yoga & Mindfulness In School

Yoga and mindfulness is a very important tool to reduce stress and anxiety. It can help to reduce heart rate and improve flexibility (yoga). So considering these benefits and how this can very valuable in an educational context - do students approve.


In a survey conducted, exactly 50% of respondents voted yes and no. So clearly this idea is not favorable for everyone. So why not? One of the main reasons is that meditation may not be comfortable for everyone. Everyone processes stress differently, and we should consider that when deciding if mindfulness should be enforced. Instead, it is important to give students the option to choose whether or not to practice mindfulness in schools.
